Peter Obi receives rousing welcome in Zamfara, promises to tackle insecurity, unemployment

The Presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has received a rousing welcome in Gusau the Zamfara state capital during his presidential campaign last Thursday and assured Nigerians that he would tackle insecurity, poverty, hunger and youth unemployment if elected as President of the country.

Obi made the pronouncement when he was addressing a mammoth crowd who converged in Gusau, the Zamfara state capital during his presidential campaign.

 He also promised to address the issue of poverty and unemployment by opening the nation’s borders.

He appealed to the people of the state to vote for him and all LP candidates at all levels in the coming general elections in order to actualize his mission of developing the nation during his tenure.

“We shall put adequate security first in place, we are going to promote peace and stability in our communities.

“Various policies and programmes are on the way to promote socio economic wellbeing of our people with a view of addressing poverty at grassroots level”, Obi explained.

Speaking at the occasion, the vice presidential candidate of the Party, Yusuf  Baba-Ahmed urged the people of the state to vote for LP party in the 2023 general elections.

Ahmed said the LP designed good blueprints for better Nigeria.

He said,  “we are ready to bring positive change in Nigeria, we are ready to serve the common man”.

 “If we are given opportunity, to form a government under the LP, we are going to form new government.

“I am therefore appealing to you, to vote for LP at all levels during the elections day, I am giving you assurance that you will not regrate voting for us.

“We are going to initiate policies and programmes to ensure national development”, He explained.

Speaking earlier the chairman Local Organizing Committee of the LP presidential rally in the state, Yahaya Yari described the large turn out of LP supporters as a welcome development.
