They were received at a befitting reception hosted by the APC Decampees Reception Committee on Monday

At the same occasion, the YPP’s deputy governorship candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Gandi Kanwa also led his party’s senatorial candidate for Zamfara West, the party’s Mafara local government Chairman and Secretary as well as the candidates for national and state House of Assembly and the party’s State Deputy Chairman, Jaminu A. Dinawa, Secretary Isah Saminu and Organising Secretary for the same purpose.

AAC also followed suit led by the party’s Senatorial candidate of Zamfara West, Hon. Bello Isah Danda and the party’s Chairman and Secretary of Talata Mafara local government, Zulkifilu Maazu and Huzaifa Zubairu, respectively.

In their speeches, the ADC former governorship candidate, Dr. Ahmad Hashimu Tsanu who was represented by his Deputy Governorship candidate Hon. Sani Musa, Deputy Governorship candidate of YPP Abubakar Gandi Kanwa and the five Senatorial candidates commended Governor Matawalle’s efforts in the fight against insecurity.

The five senatorial candidates who spoke at the occasion included Kabiru Mohammed Dauran Zamfara North of ADC, Garba Nuhu Tunau Zamfara Central of ADC, Ibrahim Musa Anka of Zamfara West of ADC, Ibrahim Aliyu Talata Mafara, Zamfara West of YPP and Hon. Bello Isah Danda Zamfara West of AAC

They all explained that since the essence of opposition in politics is to right the wrongs being perpetrated by the incumbent, they were convinced beyond all doubts that Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle is doing the right thing and unless others were opposing the Matawalle-led administration for their selfish ambitions, they should come and join hands with him for the betterment of Zamfara and the citizens.

They immensely commended effort of the current Matawalle government, especially in its fight against insecurity, which had in the past,  painted the state red within and outside the shores of Nigeria, and now peace has been achieved.

They also appraised how the governor brought about peace within the APC and provided level playing ground and environment for all political parties in the state so that politics can be played without bitterness.

On the issue of development, the groups commended Matawalle for the miracles he has been doing to make Zamfara the best state in all ways.

They maintained that people from all the opposition parties in the state have joined the APC due to its overwhelming acceptance which is why it became necessary for them to also join the APC for the development, unity and progress of Zamfara.

Also the two former House of Representatives candidates of YPP, Hajiya Umma Lawal of Anka/Mafara and Yunusa Yalbai Maru said the truth has already manifested in the state’s political cloud clearly showing that APC is the party to beat in the state.

According to them, the opposition parties in the state were only roaming the streets while APC continued to meet with genuine voters and seeking their support.

While receiving the new decampees, the chairman of the Decampees Reception Committee, Sen. Tijjani Yahaya Kaura commended the bold steps they took, promising that the party would fully carry them along.

Senator Kaura assured that the APC would always carry them along in all activities and urged them to continue to maintain peace and good brotherlines for continuity and also continue to mobilize support for the APC as the general elections are just a few days away.
