Former Gov Yari wins Zamfara West senatorial seat———–Assures good representation

Former Governor of Zamfara state Abdul Aziz Yari has been declared as the winner of Zamfara West Senatorial zone.

 Yari who contested under the platform of APC has scored a total number of 147, 346 votes to defeat his opponent, Bello S/Fago of the PDP who polled 55,832 votes. 

Announcing the result, the returning officer of the zone Professor Femi Rufus said “I Professor Femi Rufus, having satisfied that, Abdul Aziz Yari of the APC has scored the highest votes of 147,346 votes is there by declared winner”.

Similarly, Alhaji Isa Mohammed Anka of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has been elected as a member of Federal House of Representatives for Anka) Mafara Federal constituency. 

Anka defeated the incumbent member, Alhaji Classic of the People’s Democratic party (PDP).

Addressing journalists in his residence, Alhaji Abdul Aziz Yari commended his supporters for their giant efforts in ensuring his victory.

Yari assured that, he would defend the interest of his people at the national assembly, adding that, “I will make sure that I bring positive development to my zone during my tenure”.

He however called on the people of the state to come out en-mass and vote for Governor Bello Matawalle and other APC candidates in the forthcoming governorship and house of Assembly election.

“I want to use this medium and call on all APC supporters to please forget about their differences and elect all of the APC candidates in the next elections”.
