Good tidings for Zamfara as President-elect duffs his cap for Matawalle, Yari, Marafa

The President – elect of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended  Governor Bello Mohammed Matawallen Maradun of Zamfara State, his predecessor, Senator – elect Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar Shattiman Zamfara and Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa for burying their differences and having jointly worked tirelessly to ensure his success in the state at the just concluded presidential election.

This was contained in a statement by the Press Secretary to the Governor of Zamfara State

Government House Gusau, Jamilu Iliyasu Birnin Magaji and made available to newsmen on Wednesday.

The statement reads in parts as follows:

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu made the commendation in his speech on Wednesday in Abuja while accepting the mandate to serve as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria  given to him by the Nigerian electorate who overwhelmingly voted him into office.

The President-elect  commended the trio of Matawalle the incumbent governor of Zamfara for initiating the unity that brought him back on the same page with his predecessor and now Senator-elect for Zamfara West, Hon. Dr  Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar Shettiman Zamfara and Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa who served as the APC PCC  Coordinator in the state for the 2023 presidential election.

He noted with excitement that by burying their differences and working as a team for the party, the good people of Zamfara and posterity, the APC gladiators of Zamfara made an overwhelming outing at the presidential election that saw to his success, and at the same time, saved the party both at the state and the National levels.

The President-elect said he will not forget their efforts as he ascends the most exalted seat to pilot the affairs of Nigeria.

Tinubu called on Nigerians to bury political and other divides to work with him in building a greater Nigeria.

He said with his election as  the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, politics must now give way for Nation building, adding that his victory should not be seen as personal, emphasizing that for progress to be made, all Nigerians must undertake to be part of the task ahead.

“To you the people, especially the youth, I will work day and night. I will work to the utmost of my ability to make Nigeria better.

The President-elect urged his supporters and counseled those Nigerians whose candidates missed the opportunity of winning this time not to stop being patriotic citizens.

Commenting shortly after the presentation of the certificate of return to the President-elect and the Vice President-elect, Governor Bello Matawalle congratulated the President-elect on his election victory, pointing out that, “this success is the victory for the entire Nigerians”.

Governor Bello Matawalle who served as the campaign coordinator of APC Presidential Campaign Council in the North West Zone commended all APC supporters and stakeholders in Zamfara State and the North West Zone in general for their doggedness and commitment to ensure the success of our President-elect and other APC Candidates.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared winner of the February 25th Presidential election by The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC following his success at the polls.
