Kebbi state Governor-elect, Dr. Nasir Idris, has been advised to prioritise the development of human resources in order to move the state from consumption to production economy.
Engineer Manir Musa Jega, a strong associate of the Governor-elect while speaking to Newsmen in Birnin Kebbi said the state has abundant natural and agricultural potentials that could be harnessed by a well developed population
“The Governor-elect is conversant with the human needs of the people having travelled the length and breadth of the state as a teacher, we therefore urged him to introduce sustainable human empowerment programmes that will enrich the society” The politician said
He further stated that ” the period of electioneering is over, he should therefore form an all inclusive Government that will take development to the 21 Local Government Areas of the state”
Engr Manor Jega also charged the incoming Governor to bring an end to the problems of insecurity that are serious obstacles to commercial agricultural and industrial development of the state
