A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Zamfara state and former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Sani Takori has called for the dissolution of the APC leadership in the state.
A statement issued on Tuesday in Gusau, Takori said in modern democracy when a party suffered serious defeat the party leadership ought to be dissolved.
“In modern democracy when a party suffered this kind of defeat the whole structure shall be dissolved”, he added.
He faulted Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari and Bello Matawalle for giving financial assistance to the party leadership who according to him were responsible for the defeat of the party in the state.
“There is no reason what so ever to give money to those responsible for this defeat because it is like encouraging them to be more disloyal to the party”.
Takori stressed that, there was serious public outcry by the party members on the mode of sharing the Sallah welfare.
He maintained that no matter the amount of financial support given to the APC faithful through the failed party leadership, it would not reach the targeted members.
