Residents of Zaria city in Kaduna state are currently experiencing hardship following the sudden increase of fuel commodity.
Our correspondent in Zaria reported that commuters plying the roads in Zaria and environs have drastically reduced.
A Tricycle rider Abubakar Usman explained that the increase in price of fuel was discouraging passengers to patronize them due to lack of money being faced by many people.
Some filling stations selling are now selling a litre for six hundred and twenty Naira and above.
A resident in Zaria retired education officer Malam Adamu said that the increase of petroleum product was adding more problem to the Nigerian masses.
Mal Adamu called on President Bola Ahmed Tunubu to reintroduce policies and programs that would alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.
Also speaking, another resident Shehu Sulaiman Babawo expressed sadness over the sudden increase of fuel price he lamenting that “Nigerian masses are struggling to get three square meals per day.
Shehu said eligible voters voted for Tinubu thinking that he would do something in good time to reduce the difficulties faced by the people of the country
At the time of filing in this report many people were trekking to distance places as they could not afford transport fares.
