The Kebbi State Police Commissioner Simon Titus Musa has on Wednesday paraded one Aminu Bello for allegedly killing his creditor.
According to the police commissioner, the accused person, Aminu Bello had borrowed the sum of N485, 000 from Abdulmajid Nasiru in Jega town and did not pay back.
When the creditor, (Abdul Majid) came to collect his money, the debtor (Aminu) lured him to a nearby bush and stabbed him multiple times in the head and neck.
The commissioner further explained that the passersby, helped the victim to Aisha Buhari General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead and the Police went after the debtor where he was apprehended.
The suspect according to the Commissioner would soon be arraigned before the court after confessing his crime.
Also paraded was one Sa’idu Sani a.k.a Dankahuwa of Aliero town for defiling a ten year old girl and threatened to kill her if she revelled what happened.
Luck ran out of him when the police got wind of the crime, got him arrested and would soon appear before the court of law.
Suspects with cases of sexual assault, vandalization, theft, trespassing, criminal conspiracy, armed robbery and illegal possession of fire arms were amongst the persons presented to the Press at the Police Headquarters, Birnin Kebbi
Commenting further CP Samuel Musa said “In the light of the above I want to appeal on all stake holders to cooperate more with the Police in improving Police-Public Partnership as we seek to employ a multidimensional approach to curb the activities of miscreants infiltrating the territorial boundaries of Kebbi state
“Let me also call on members of the public to be vigilant, as cases of theft of domestic animals are on the increase in the State”.
He warned the prospective buyers to verify the authenticity of domestic animals before buying with a view to avoiding arrest for the offence of receiving stolen property.
He also appealed to the commercial motorcyclists (okada men) to be wary of the type of people they convey during their daily businesses.
“They are also requested to desist from operating during the night hours to avoid being victims of circumstances”. CP Musa concluded.
