The Kebbi state Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abubakar Umar Dutsinmari has announced the appointments of six district heads as approved by Governor Nasir Idris.
The commissioner said the six new District Heads are from Gwandu and Zuru Emirates.
While addressing newsmen in Birnin Kebbi he stated that the new District Heads in Zuru Emirate included Usman Mohammed Dunga, District Head of Kyabu in Danko Chiefdom and Adamu Garba, District Head of Robah.
The Commissioner further stated that in Gwandu Emirate the new District Heads were Sahabi Ibrahim Mai Alelu, the District Head of Dangamaji in Jega Local Government, General Nasir Muhammad Jega, the Head of the newly created Nasarawa District, with the office to be known as Baraden Nassarawa in Birnin Kebbi.
Others according to Dutsinmari were the new District Head of Zauro (Dikko Zauro), Alhaji Mahe Dikko Zauro, the new District Head of Zaria Kala-Kala in Koko Besse Local Government Area, Alhaji Mohammed Kabiru Halima D/Galatians as well as the creation of new village head at Rugga Dikko village area in Sardaunan Nassarawa District.
The said the appointments of the District Heads were based on merits as identified through their track records of meritorious service to humanity.
He urged them to justify the confidence Governor Nasir Idris reposed in them by serving their communities diligently.
