The Consolidated APC Support Groups (COASUG) has appointed the Kebbi State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Hon. Yakubu Ahmed BK as its National Patron.
This is contained in a letter signed by its Director General, Hon. Harrison Sam and National Secretary, Hon. Isa Mohammed and addressed to the commissioner and also made available to newsman in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday.
The Consolidated APC Support Groups (COASUG) was formed by a coalition of over 200 registered support groups in the ruling party, All Progressive Congress with a view to engaging various strata of governance as stakeholders to promote and support government programmes and policies at all levels.
The letter further maintained that having identified the Commissioner as an ally with whom members could work to guide them to achieve their vision and to further deepen and strenthen the nation’s democracy, they were pleased to appoint him as Patron of the coalition.
Speaking to newsmen, the Commissioner expressed delight for finding worthy of the appointment, stressing that he would use his wealth of experience by supporting the Coalition Groups towards building a better future for the country
He further stated that he had warmly accepted the appointment promising to avail the group of his time, talent and resources in furtherance of their collective goals aimed at enhancing the realisation of their mission.
