The Kebbi State Chairman, Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), Venerable Dr. Ayuba Kanta, has cautioned Christians community not to use the occasion of christmas to commit immorality but rather reflect and demostrarte the love of God.
Dr. Kanta, stated this while speaking to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi at the height of festive mood marking the occasion of christmas celebration.
The CAN Chairman, also called on the Christian faithfuls to use the season of christmas to pray for the peaceful coexistence of the country.
He stressed that the development of any society depends on the peace and togetherness of its people.
Reading from the book of Isia Chapter 9 verse 6, the Kebbi State CAN Chairman, Venerable Dr Ayuba Kanta, said christ has come to institutionalized peace, justice and fairness across board.
He pointed out that the coming of christ was an announcement of good news to the entire human race.
Dr. Kanta said it was the responsibility of leaders irrespective of their religious affliation to provide sustainable development in all sectors of the economy as well as ensure the security of lives and property of all Nigerians.
He said Nigerians were feeling the hardship being faced in the country and therefore called on leaders at all levels to be fair and just for Nigerians to leave a better life.
