Governor Nasir of Kebbi State has on Monday in Birnin Kebbi sworn-in the Chief Judge, Justice Umar Abubakar and the Grand Khadi, Khadi Sadik Usman Moukhtar after spending some times on Acting Capacity.

The Governor charged the judicial officers to justify the confidence the public reposed in them, promising not to interfere in the discharge of their duties but assured them of a convenient working environment in order to take the state to higher heights of development.

At the ceremony, Chairmen and members of the governing councils of State University of Science and Technology, College of Education, Polytechnic, College of Health Scieces and College of Preliminary Studiies were sworn-in based on their track records of meritorious service to humanity with a call on them to live above board

Governor Idria told the sworn-in officers to lend their support to his administration as it worked round the clock to achieve its human and infrastructural developmental strides just as exemplified in government’s recent plan to establish a commission for people living with disability to show concern to the vulnerable

The State Chief Executive dismissed the claims of critics as wild goose chase when referring to projects executed by his government as expensive, stressing that quality projects were always costly and the people of Kebbi never deserved substandard constructions because the expenditure funds came from the common taxpayers.

He further stressed that as an agrarian state, his government had concluded plans to commence the distribution of solar water pumping machines to farmers in order to sustain agricultural production during the rainy season following the souring price of petrol that hitherto was used to power irrigation machines.

Also speaking, the Chief Judge, Umar Abubakar thanked the Governor for giving them the opportunity to serve saying he would find them worthy of the portfolios because they would discharge their responsibilities diligently not forgetting to support government policies and programmes.
