Supreme court’s verdict, victory for democracy–says Zamfara dep Gov

The Zamfara state Deputy Governor, Malam Mani Mummuni has described today’s supreme court’s verdict as a victory for democracy in the country.

Addressing a press conference in his office, Malam Mani stressed that, the judiciary has proven itself to be the last hope for the common man.

He added that what happened today at the Apex court would forever be remembered by all those who wish the country well.

On the insecurity situation in the state, the Deputy Governor reaffirmed the state government’s resolve of non negotiation with the bandits.

Malam Mani maintained that the state government would fight the bandits until the security challenges are resolved.

He however called on all supporters to remain calm and law-abiding and should not involve themselves in any act capable of causing trouble in the state.

However, there were jubilations all over the state, as PDP supporters took to streets drumming and dancing for the victory of their party.
