In a momentous event, Borno state Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum alongside fellow Northern Governors and distinguished guests from across Nigeria, graced the wedding fatiha of Samira Nasir Idris, the daughter of Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris ( Kauran Gwandu).
The groom, Engineer Ahmad Faruk was represented by the former Governor of Kano State and APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, while the bride was represented by Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Omara Zulum.
The wedding fatiha, was solemnized by the Chief Imam of Kebbi Central Mosque, Mohammad Mukhtar, unfolded seamlessly, adhering to the principles of Islam.
Chief Imam Mukhtar urged the newly wedded couple to promote peace in their matrimonial home emphasizing the sanctity of marriage as a worship to Allah (SWT) and a commitment to the traditions of the Holy Prophet (SAW).
Other distinguished personalities who attended the wedding fatiha included Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state, Katsina Governor Dikko Radda, APC National chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the APC National Vice Chairman North Ali Konduga and a host of other Governors, Ministers, and dignitaries from across Nigeria.
The Kebbi state Commissioner of Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK was one of the top ranking government officials who welcomed Borno state Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum to Birnin Kebbi for the wedding ceremony.
Zulum landed at the Ahmadu Bello International Airport in Birnin Kebbi this afternoon accompanied by the APC National Vice Chairman North Ali Konduga, one of Borno’s Senators Kaka Shehu Lawan and a member of the House of Representatives Kadiri Rahis.
They have since left for Maiduguri after the wedding formalities.
