Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has assured the people of the state particularly those living in security prone areas, that his administration would protection their lives and properties to enable them contribute their quota in the overall development of the state.
The Governor was addressing a large number of APC faithfuls who gathered at the Haliru Abdu Stadium after their motorcade moved from Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport through the major streets of Birninn Kebbi to rejoice with him over the Supreme Court victory.
Governor Idris said its was the responsibility of his government to bring peace to Zuru, Yauri and Argungu Emirates being the flashpoints of security challenges that had resulted to lost of lives and properties as well as shortfall in agricultural and business activities.
“It is the responsibility of my government to secure the life of every citizen in the state. No society would prosper when its people are living in chaos, unsecured and disarray”.
” Let me stress here that as long as we remain in power all flashpoint areas in the state would be maximally protected”. The Governor stressed.
Governor Idris maintained that he would continue with the developments he started since he assumed office May the 29th,2023 which he attributed to the support he enjoined from APC leadership, State Assembly, State Executive Council members and the public.
He however called on members of the opposition parties to put aside their political differences to join hands with his government to move the state forward now that litigations were ovwr if truly they were after the genuine development of Kebbi State.
The leadership of the ruling party, APC, led by its Chairman Abubakar Kana Zuru, presented an award of Excellence and Service to Humanity to Governor Idris for making the party proud through his unprecedented achievements within eighth months of his stay in office.
