Communities urged to form dev. associations to support govt’s policies, programs

Communities across the country have been advised to form developmental association to support government policies and programmes.

The, chairman, board of trustees, Shika Development Association, Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Wazirin Abakwa gave the advice during the presentation of award of excellence to 100 indigenes of Shika in Zaria.

Alhaji Ahmed Muhammad explained that developmental associations will assist the authority by complimenting development programmes of the government such as road repairs and healthcare.

He said Shika Development Association was established in 1968 aimed to providing necessary support to people in the area.

Muhammad charged youths to seek both Islamic and religious education to face global challenges.

In an interview, the chairman Shika Development Association, Dr, YAKUBU Ja,e thanked the elders for their own contribution and commitment towards the survival of the shika development association.

Dr, Yakubu Ja,e assured the elders that the present leaders are committed to moving the association to greater heights.

In their separate remarks, Alhaji Sani Uwaisu Garkuwan kudun Zazzau and parmanent secretary Kaduna state Teachers Service Board Hajiya Suwaiba Ibrahim Shehu promised to support the shika community at any giving time.
