Kebbi State Governor, Comerade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu has given out Hajiya Saratu Usman-Tunga in marriage to Nura Issah Abubakar-Tunga.
The Governor according to his Media Aide Ahmed Idris stood-in as the father (Waliyyi) of the bride, while the Speaker, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Usman-Yankwai stood-in for the bridegroom (Wakili).
The wedding Fatiha took place at Tunga village in Bunza Local Government Area of the state.
It was formally solomonised after the payment of N120,000 as a dowry to the bride’s family.
The Chief Imam of the village prayed for a blessed and fruitful marriage and enjoined the couple to respect all Islamic matrimonial rites to raise a happy and blissful family members.
The marriage contract was between the daughter of Rector, Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin-Kebbi, Dr Usman Tunga and the son of Hon. Commissioner for Higher Education, Alhaji Issah Abubakar-Tunga.
The marriage, which was attended by prominent personalities from within and outside Kebbi State recorded the presence of Rt. Hon. Speaker, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Muhammad Usman-Ankwai, State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba-Bena, Chairman Pilgrims Board, Alhaji Musa Yaro Faruk-Enabo, member, House of Representatives, Hon. Bello Ka’oje as well as Commissioners and the Chief Judge.
Others are; Special Adviser on Inter-Governmental and Infrastructure, Alhaji Malam Abubakar, Special Adviser, Political Matters and Power, Alhaji Kabir Sani-Giant, Special Adviser, Donor Agencies and Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Alhaji Ahmed Idris,
The rest were Chairman SEMA, Chairman Civil Service Commission, Hon. Bello Dantani, Alhaji Ibrahim Bagudu, Danmasani Gwandu, Alhaji Faruku Kuru, Acting Permanent Secretary Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Kalgo among others.
