Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state has approved the appointment of Major Maikano Adamu ( RTD) as the Acting Commandant, Zamfara state Community Protection Guards (CPG).
In a statement, the commissioner of information Munnir Haidara said the appointment was with immediate effect.
Haidara further stated that “The appointment of the acting CPG Commandant is as a result of the recent suspension of Col. Rabiu Garba “Yandoto (RTD) by the state government”.
Before his apartment, the new state Acting Commandant, Major Maikano Adamu (RTD) was the immediate Deputy Commandant of the state Community Protection Guards CPG.
Recall that, the the former CPG Commandant, Colonel Rabiu Garba (retd) was suspended last Wednesday following his utterances where he accused the state government of poor funding of the program.
