Governor Nasir Idris of kebbi state has condoled with exalted family of Late Alhaji Musa Yar’adua, over the demise of Hajiya Dada, the mother of late Umaru Musa Yar’adua former President the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement by the
Special Adviser to the Governor on
Communication and Strategy, Alhaji Abdullahi Idris Zuru and made available to newsmen on Tuesday.
In a condolence message to the family, the Governor described the death of Hajiya Dada as a great loss to Nigeria, in view of the patriotic and selfless service rendered by members of the family towards peace, stability and democratic development of the nation at different times.
Governor Idris recalled the contributions made by the head of the family late Musa Yar’adua as a Minister in the First Republic.
He also noted the unmeasurable sacrifices made by late Major-General Shehu Musa Yar’adua as Chief of Staff Supreme Headquarters during Olusegun Obasanjo military regime.
The Governor also noted the enormous contributions of late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua to the nation.
He said “Her two powerful children, late General Shehu Musa Yar,adua and late President Umaru Yar,adua had done alot for peaceful and economic growth and entrenchment of democracy in Nigeria”.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Kebbi state, I pray to Allah SWT, to grant the mother of the nation eternal rest, reward her with Aljannah Firdausi and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”.
