Royal Charity Care Foundation Pays Scholarship To 36 Orphans

A non Governmental Organization (NGO) called, ‘Royal Sister Charity Care Foundation’ (RSCCF), has sponsored the education of 36 orphany from primary up to secondary school level.

The educational support programme which was initiated under the National Ummul Aytam Hajiya Rukayya Danfulani, was launched on Tuesday in an occasion held at UBE Teacher’s Training Development Centre along bye pass road Gusau on Monday.

Speaking at the occasion, the chairman of the state chapter, Dr. Aliyu Sani Jangebe, who commended the founder of the organization Hajiya Rukayya Danfulani for her initiative, described it as timely in view of the alarming increase of orphans due to incessant killings and act of terrorism in the state and country in general.

He quoted several Qur’anic verses and tradition of the Holy Prophet on the importance of providing assistance or taking responsibility of orphans and vulnerable groups in the society.

He called on wealthy individuals in the society to emulate from the foundation’s initiator so as to complement the government efforts on that direction.

“If we look at the meaning of children who are the most valuable creature on earth, children’s are the Allah’s gift who money cannot buy,” Dr. Jangebe added.

In his remarks, the Secretary of Royal Sister Charity Care Foundation’ (RSCCF) Mu’awiyya Abdullahi Jega, who highlighted the activities of the organization, said a lot has been achieved under the organization especially in Gusau and Maradun local government areas.

He disclosed that under the initiatives of the founder organization Hajiya Rukayya Danfulani, hundreds of orphans, vulnerable children and the widows were supported with various means of assistance in the state.

“The organization under one year of it’s initial activities has made several assistance to orphans and less privileged people in across the state.

It gives donations of medicine, food items to patients in the hospitals and also rendered the services to various Islamiyya schools in and outside Gusau.

He pointed out that under the organization’s services, recently about 30 orphans were enrolled to primary schools in Maradun Emirate Council, adding that presently 36 number of the orphans were also sort out and enrolled into primary schools in Gusau Emirate Council.

Jega further stated that under the National Ummul Aytam initiatives, each of the enrolled orphans would be provided with complete registration and termly school fees, uniform, school  bag, sandal and sox, exercise books as well as taking care of their health up to the end of their studies.

In his address, the Emir of Gusau HiRH Dr. Ibrahim Bello has commended the founder of the organization, Hajiya Rukayya Danfulani for her tremendous efforts and commitments on the orphans and vulnerable Households women and Children in the state and urged her to keep it up.

The Emir who was represented by the Distric head of Damba, Alhaji Sambo Chiroma said, only Allah (SWA) can reward her for sponsoring orphans and less privileged across the state to schools to acquired knowledge at all level.

Emir of Gusau also used the occasion to call on Islamic scholars as well as people in the state to continue praying to end the security challenges in Zamfara and Nigeria in general.
