The Zamfara state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has mourned the death of the former secretary to Zamfara state government, Professor Abdullahi Mohammed Shinkafi who passed away on Saturday in Abuja.
In a press release, the Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Yusuf Idris said the party has received with shock, the sudden death of Professor Shinkafi.
The statement reads in parts as follows:
“Zamfara State All Progressives Congress APC received with shock the sudden death of our party stalwart, Professor Abdullahi Muhammed yesterday in Abuja”.
“Though his sudden death was devastating, it is with total submission to the wills of Allah, who created life and death to all his creatures”.
“The death of a promising Islamic scholar of international repute and academician per excellence such as Professor Shinkafi’s is a monumental loss to Zamfara state, State APC Family, and Nigeria at large”.
“The State Working Committee is extending its heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, relatives and associates and pray Almighty Allah to reward his soul will Jannatul Firdausi”.
“Late Professor Abdullahi Shinkafi was a hardworking, honest and peace loving man who spent most of his life time in worshipping Allah and teaching the Muslim ummah on the right path of Allah and the teachings of our noble Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu Alaihi Wassallam”.
“May Allah forgive all his short comings and grant him the exalted paradise”.
