Communities in Zaria have called on appropriate authorities to stop trucks from plying roads within Zaria city.
Our correspondent in Zaria reported that yesterday night empty truck ran into a family house, killing three children and left behind farther, mother and a relative with various degrees of injuries in Unguwan Juma area.
An Eye witness account Idris Abdulkadir who is a brother to the victims narrated that around one o’clock pm on Sunday, the truck ran into their house where three children were killed and three others injured.
Abdulkadir called on the authorities concerned and Zazzau Emirate to take an appropriate action to stop the trucks from plying the roads within Zaria city.
Speaking shortly after visiting the scene of the accident, Sarkin Fadan Zazzau, Alhaji Abbas Ahmed Fatika expressed shock over the incidence.
Alhaji Abbas stressed the need for Roads Traffic Enforcement agencies to measures to stop future occurrence of the menace.
He prayed Allah to grant the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss.
Investigations have revealed that truck drivers are plying the roads within Zaria city following the ongoing roads construction by the past administration in the state.
