Gov Idris reaffirms harmonious working relation with Nupe Community in Kebbi

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has assured The Nupe community living in the State of his Administration’s determination towards promoting their socioeconomic wellbeing in addition to integrating them into the mainstream of the society

The Governor made this statement while addressing a deligation of the Etsu of Nupe led by Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Buso who paid him a Thank You visit for appointing one of their sons as Chief Press Secretary to the Governor

“The relationship between Niger and Kebbi State has been very cordial having come from the former North-Westen State.

“The appointment of Ahmed Idris as my CPS was based on this reason besides his track record of journalistic experience.

“Kebbi should therefore be your second home” Governor Idris explained

He added by saying “The Nupe community in Kebbi State will receive maximum protection while carrying out their legitimate business activities.

He said, ”Nigeria needs peaceful coexistence amongst all the ethnic groups for the county to achieve higher heights of development “

Earlier in his remarks the leader of the delegation Alhaji Abubakar Buso said the Etsu Nupe Dr Yahaya Abubakar was appreciative of the kind gesture of Governor Idris for finding one of his subjects Ahmed Idris worthy of Appointment in Kebbi State.

Buso stressed that the appointee will surely justify the confidence reposed in him

The delegation later presented the Governor souvenirs of Nupe descents to strengthen inter state cultural ties
