Zamfara Women Affairs Commissioner Resumes Duty, Promises To Work With Relevant Stakeholders

The newly appointed Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Women, Children & Social Development, Dr Nafisa Muhammad Maradun has pledged to collaborate with development partners and relevant stakeholders to improve the life of women, children & other vulnerable groups in the State.

This was contained in a statement by the press secretary of the ministry, Suleiman Isah and made available to newsmen in Gusau on Friday.

The Commissioner who spoke shortly after she assumed duty said that, she would operate an open door policy to enable her work harmoniously with all the Staff of the Ministry in order to achieve the desired objectives.

She appealed to all the Staff of the Ministry and its parastatals to give her maximum cooperation to enable her discharge her assigned responsibilities

She commended the State Governor Dauda Lawal for giving her the opportunity to serve the good people of the State.


Dr Nafisa Maradun equally described the first lady Huriya Dauda Lawal as a leader who is passionate about uplifting the standard of living of women, children & persons with disabilities in the State.

She appealed to the entire people of the State to complement the effort of His Excellency the Executive Governor by supporting the policies and programmes of this administration.

In her remarks, the Director of Administration of the Ministry, Aina’u Sani, commended the deployed Commissioner for her plans for the Ministry and assured her total support and cooperation of all the Staff.
