Zamfara State Government has pledged to strengthen the existing cordial relationship with the International and National Organisations working in the humanitarian sector.
The Commissioner of Humanitarian and Relief Matters Hon. Salisu Musa Tsafe made the disclosure while meeting with the officials of Zamfara State Social Protection Platforms who paid him a familiarisation visit in his office.
In a statement by the Director information of the ministry Bashir Kabiru Ahmad, the Commissioner noted that since his appointment and portfolio took charge of the Humanitarian and Relief Matters in state, there was the needs for a formidable relationship with relevant stakeholders working in the humanitarian sector.
Salisu Musa explained that the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal was committed towards reducing the hardship being experienced by vulnerable population in the state.
The commissioner said, “My policy will ensure continuous and effective working relationship with any organisation working in social protection for the wellbeing of our people especially those in rural areas”.
He commended Zamfara State Social Protection Platforms Officials for their commitments towards supporting social protection activities in Zamfara State.
Hon. Tsafe who assured them of his mammoth support to their activities urged people of the State to continue supporting the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal for the successful implementation of Rescue Mission for Zamfara State.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman Zamfara State Social Protection Platforms Malam Nasiru Usman Biyabiki said they were in the Commissioner’s office for familiarisation and need for continuous relationship with the managers of Humanitarian and Relief Matters in the state.
Usman Biyabiki appealed to the Commissioner to intimate State Government to consider National Social Register while making plans to addressing poverty challenges across the state.
