The security guards working under the Light Towers Security Guards Limited in Kano, Zaria and Gusau NNPC depots have called on the appropriate authorities to intervene and ensure that they are paid their seven months salaries.

Speaking to Analyzer news, the leader of the security guards who preferred an anonymity for fear of victimization and harassment stated that, they have been working for the last seven months without salaries, a situation that has put many of them into serious difficulties.

According to him, many of them are currently unable to feed themselves and their families.

He also added that, many of them trek to and from their places of work as they could not afford transport fares.

He further lamented that, most of their children were sent out of their schools as they could not pay for the school fees.

“As I am speaking to you  now, my family and I have not eaten anything since morning and I don’t want to go back to my family without something to eat”.

“I want the authorities of the Light Security Guards Limited and the NNPCL to please come to our aid and pay us our salaries before the situation goes out of control”.

He finally broke into tears during the interview with this medium, urging all the relevant stakeholders to come to their rescue.

“We are really suffering. Things are no more easy in this country as the prices of food items and other commodities have gone so high”.

“Let them know that we have families to look after and we want to be working tirelessly for the company”.

This cannot be done under the unhealthy development of this nature”. He concluded.
