Arewa broadcast media practitioners forum has condemned attack on the building and equipment of African independent television (AIT).

This was contained in a statement by the chairman of the forum, Abdullahi Umar Yelwa and made available to Analyzer news.

Abdullahi Yelwa said the Rivers state government should follow rule of law in settling the land dispute between it and Daar communication, owner of AIT.

He explained that it was surprising to hear that a government would indulge in such brazen destruction of property of an investor, which it was s supposed to protect as a constituted authority.

Yelwa called on the Rivers state government to allow the disputed land be solved amicable as it was already before a court of competent jurisdiction.

He said, “As a constituted authority, the Rivers state government is supposed to follow the rules of law in settling the land dispute between it and Daar communication, owner of AIT”

“I want to use this medium to call on the Rivers state government to allow the case of a disputed land be solved amicable because it is already before a court of competent jurisdiction”. Yelwa concluded.
