A veteran journalist, Comrade Hamisu Danjinga is dead.
Danjinga was reported missing last Saturday where many people believed that he was kidnapped by bandits.
A text message was later sent by unknown person demanding the sum of one million Naira from his family before announcing the final ransom on Friday.
The family and friends struggled to know the whereabouts of late Danjinga without success until on Wednesday when his dead body which was dumped in a soakaway behind his house in Samaru area Gusau started to purge and became fully exposed to the surrounding.
The soakaway was immediately dug out where late Danjinga was found with several cuts on his body
Two prime suspects close to late Danjinga’s family were apprehended by the security personnel in relation to his brutal murder, while investigation into the matter was on going.
A funeral prayer for late Danjinga was performed near his house with hundreds of sympathizers in attendance and his remains have been buried according to Islamic injunction.
Late Danjinga worked in many media houses such as, Ayau Newspapers, Kunnen Gari, Voice of Nigeria and Vision FM Nigeria.
He was survived by a wife, many children and grandchildren.
