Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has described his Victory at the Court of Appell that comfimed his success at the March general polls o Friday in Abuja as a victory for democracy and the people of the state.
In his post judgement address to the people in Birnin Kebbi the Governor said the success at the polls was a clear indication that the people had spoken their minds and the silence they exhibited through the challenges of litigatoons was a clear testimony that they were ready to support the administration in its bid to bring development to the state.
Governor Idris thanked the legislature, the judiciary, APC leadership and the general public for the continued support because the business of governance was not only for the Executive but all inclusive for the dreams of taking the state to higher heights of development to be achieved.
He assured the people of the state that his administration would now focus on the provisions of dividends of democracy in the areas of human and capital development, stressing that government’s good will had been attracting sympathy from all sections of the society and also thanked themfor the gesture.
Governor Idris appealed to the opposition parties and litigants to join hands with his administration to fastback the development of the state because they had no other abode than Kebbi.
Also commenting, a politician from Kebbi South, Junaidu Wasagu said the victory would strengthen the political will of the government in the fight against insecurity in the area and urged the people to show maximum support to the administration.
