The Kebbi State Commissioner of Information and Culture Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK was on a working visit to the BBC Hausa Abuja office today where he interfaced with staff of the department.
Received by one of the senior producers of the unit Alhaji Ibrahim Isa, the commissioner was taken round the unit and introduced to staff members of reporters and producers.
In an interview conducted during the visit, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK highlighted the potentials of Kebbi state in agriculture where he described the state as Nigeria’s potential food basket.
He also spoke about the remarkable improvement of security in the state.
The commissioner gave the credit of the improvement to the tireless effort and leadership qualities of Governor Nasir Idris.
He called on the media to beam its searchlight on the unprecedented development in infrastructure which has been recorded in Kebbi state in the last six months.
