Kebbi Governor Comerade Dr. Nasir Idris has expressed the readiness of his administration to partner with International Donors Agencies towads providing good governance to the people of the state.
This was contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor, Ahmed Idris and made available to Analyzer news on Thursday.
According to the statement, the Governor made the disclosure last Wednesday while addressing all the donors agencies’s delegates led by the National Executive Director, Primary Healthcare Development Agency (PHCDA), Dr. Muyi Aina in Birnin Kebbi.
The Governor said partnership with donors agencies in any sector of government remained an opportunity to bring changes to the rural community.
He said, “My administration is ready to work with you people, so far, you are going to assit my government in bringing more achievements to the state”.
“I know partnering with you people will go a long way in bringing development and reducing poverty in the state most especially in health and education sectors,” he added.
The governor, who applauded the work of donors agencies, told them that his office was opened for any advice or support that would give his administration a facelift and ensure the effectiveness service delivery.
Presenting the delegates to the Governor, the Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba-Bena told the governor that the visitors were in Kebbi State to partner with the Kebbi State Government on healthcare services, adding that during the visitation, they visited Emir of Arugungu and commissined a Polio Emergency Centers and donated three Hilux vehicles.
In his remark, the leader of the team and Executive Director, National Primary Healthcare Agency, Dr. Muyi Aina commended the governor for providing dividends of democracy to the people within shortage period of his administration.
He explained further that the aim of the visit was to partner with Kebbi State Government in healthcare services delivery and other related sectors.
“We visited Emir of Arugungu where we discussed the issue of polio and other related health challenges in the state”.
“As the HOS told you earlier, we have also commissioned Polio Emergency Operations Center and donated 3 operational IVM Hilux vehicles in Birnin Kebbi which were build by UNICEF” he said.
Also speaking to press shortly after the courtesy visit, the Special Adviser to the Governor, on Donor agencies, Dr. Usman Buhari Gwandu thanked the governor for uplifting the people and uniting the healthcare services in the state.
“Your achievements has given people a sense of belonging and direct bearing, it has also touched the lives of the common people,” he said.
