Gov Idris condoles Yobe State Govt over Bukar Abba’s death

The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu has condoled with Yobe State Government over the dead of Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim former Governor of the state.

Governor Idris described the demise of Bukar Abba as a great loss not only to Yobe State Government and its people but a loss to Nigeria and democracy as a whole.

While encouraging his family to accept the will of God Almighty in good faith, the governor prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

He observed that the political history of Nigeria would never be complete without the likes of Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim, “therefore, his spirit will remain fresh in our memories as far as Nigerian politics is concerned.”

Gov. Idris described Bukar Abba as a seasoned and dynamic politician who remained dear to his constituents due his commitment to the yearnings and aspirations of his people

Bukar Abba Ibrahim, who died on Sunday in Saudi Arabia, served as Yobe State Governor between January 1992 to November 1993 under Social Democratic Party (SDP), Governor, from May 1999 to May 2007 under All People’s Party (APP) and All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) and Senator representing Yobe East from 2007 to 2019 under ANPP and All Progressives Congress (APC).
