I never thought of contesting any elective position————- Zannan Bungudu

A member representing Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency in Zamfara state, Hon Abdul Malik (Zannan Bungudu) affirmed that he has never thought of  contesting any elective position throughout his political career.

Hon Zubairu made this known while answering questions from members of the Correspondents chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, in Bungudu town, the headquarters of Bungudu local government area of the state.

He was specifically reacting to a speculation that he was executing large number of developmental projects in his constituency simply because he was preparing for the governorship post come  2027.

He said, “I also heard that speculation, but to be frank with you, I never discussed this issue with anyone”.

“Infant, all the positions I held or currently holding were the decisions of my people”.

“So if they want me to go for any elective position, I will be ready to accept it”.

Hon Zubairu maitained that, his major concern was how to uplift the living standard of his people, adding that, he has currently sponsored over 460 students to study at various institutions of high learning both within and outside the state.

His Personnel Assistant, Jamilu Umar Bungudu has conducted round the journalists to some projects he executed.

During the visit, Jamilu Umar explained that,  the lawmaker has so far renovated 20 Jumuat mosques both in Bungudu and Maru local government areas in addition to renovating over 100 daily prayer mosques.

Bello Umar also added that, Hon Zubairu has provided electricity to both Nahuce and Runji communities at the total cost of N450 million.

On health, Bello Umar maintained that, Honourable Zubairu has constructed and renovated  nine dispensaries in Dansadau, Runji, Bungudu, Mayanchi, Rawaiya, Tashar Rawaiya, Bingi and Kotorkoshi towns.

Bello Umar also told journalists that, Honourable Zubairu has expanded the sum of N50 million for the total renovation of Nana Aisha Qur’anic memorisation institute in Bungudu town in addition to renovation of 15 Islamic schools in both Maru and Bungudu local government areas.
