Hisbah board of Sabon gari local government area of kaduna state has taken proactive measures to stem acts of immortality and social vices prevailing in the society.
Abubakar Awwal Adam, the Hisbah Commander of the area who gave the assurance at a one day sensitization summit organized by the board in collaboration with the Centre for Islamic Legal Studies, ABU Zaria said modern approaches wey being implemented in tackling the menace.
He explained that the board has subjected its members to modern civil security education, tactical approach and regimental training to ensure successful results.
The Commander noted that as a religious security outfit, the Hisbah has continued to work in synergy with all military and paramilitary agencies for effective discharge of responsibility.
“It is in this regard that we are collaborating with CILS to sensitize our members on their responsibility as enshrined in the dictate of our religion.
“Other religious bodies including christians are also carried along in all our activities and programmes so as to achieve the desired results.” He explained.
While appreciating the doggedness and commitment of Sabon gari local council, especially the Chairman, Engineer Mohammed Usman in supporting Hisbah activities, the Commander also applauded the laudable cooperation of all security agencies in the area.
He reiterated the determination of the board to rid the area of negative tendencies while flushing out all forms of social vices and immoral acts for a healthy society.
In his paper presentation, titled “Contribution of Hisbah in sustaining peace, security and moral behaviour in the society” Sheikh Umar Hassan Gusau, Executive Chairman, Zamfara State Hisbah Commission advocated for synergy in all states to achieve the required goal.
He admonished personnel to work in accordance with the guideline of its operations, where people will be counseled, cautioned before forwarding to security agencies for arraignment in court
Gusau cautioned Hisbah personnel to be people of good character and conduct while implementing their religious knowledge in the discharge of their responsibility.
The Hisbah Chairman however urged government officials, wealthy individuals, traditional and religious leaders to support the activities of the board as the surest way of achieving tremendous results.
