The All Progressive Congress (APC) Galadima ward in Gusau local government area of Zamfara state, has dismissed the state’s party chairman, Tukur Danfulani Maikatako from the party.

Addressing newsmen in Gusau on Saturday, the ward EXCO members said, they decided to dismiss the state’s party chairman as he lacked capacity to lead the party in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the EXCO members who is also the vice chairman of the party Alhaji Garba Bello said, they resolved to save the party from bad leadership of State chairman Alhaji Tukur Danfulani.

Bello added added that they have lost confidence in the state APC chairman.

Bello disclosed that 16 out of 27 executive members of the ward have signed for the dismissal of Tukur Danfulani from the party.

He said,  “It’s disheartening to note that the state APC chairman Tukur Danfulani Maikatako has caused division within the party due to his bad leadership in the state, which is against the party constitution and manifest from national to state level”.

He stressed that,Tukur Danfulani Maikatako was also alleged to have taken side on many issues of interest assigning duties to those that were not executive members of the party.

“That is against the constitution of our party” , he revealed.

“For example,Tukur Danfulani allegedly relegated party affairs to those that are not his Excos, which is against the constitution of the party”.

According to him, 90 percent of executive members of APC Galadima ward have agreed unanimously and notified their ward members, APC Gusau local government, state and national headquarters that Tukur Danfulani Maikatako was dismissed from the party.

“The Galadima ward executive of APC , therefore urged the party leadership at national to as a matter of urgency send a caretaker chairman to Zamfara state, as Tukur Danfulani Maikatako is no longer an APC member”. Concluded Bello.

Frantic efforts were made to speak to the state APC chairman Tukur Danfulani but could not be reached on phone.

However, the state’s APC Secretary Alhaji Yusuf Idris d who spoke to Analyzer news on phone explained that, those who allegedly dismissed the state’s party chairman were not executive members of the party.

Idris said, “None of them is an Exco member of the APC as they claimed”.

“We will take action against them”. Concluded Idris.
