From Jibrin Zaria

Owners of houses, lands and uncompleted structures at Kaku junction Kofar Galadima Zaria City have expressed fear over the plan by Kaduna State government to take over their properties.

Our correspondent in Zaria reported that some of the property owners purchased their lands and houses over 50 years ago while some inherited the properties.

They decried that Kaduna State Geographic and Information System KADGIS made several attempts to take over their properties about five years ago.

Investigation revealed that the property owners sued the KADGIS to court with an order of restrictions until court judgment.

Also revealed was that in an attempt to fight for their right the owners sought the intervention of emir of Zazzau Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.

Investigation showed that the KADGIS has hundred of land issues between the property owners and Kaduna state government within Zazzau emirate.

All the land were planed for the execution of developmental projects with the owners not been settled or compensated.

Efforts to contact the information officer of KADGIS failed because he insisted that only Mr, Emos would respond to journalists.
