In an effort to bolster healthcare services, the Zamfara State Contributory Health Management Agency (ZAMCHEMA) recently conducted an oversight visit to the King Fahad Ibn Abdul-Aziz Women and Children Hospital.
This was contained in a statement by the
Information Officer of the ministry, Suleiman Isah Gusau and made available to Analyzer news on Thursday.
According to the statement, the visit which was led by acting Executive Secretary Dr. Iliyasu Ahmed Saleh was aimed at ensuring the hospital’s adherence to ZAMCHEMA’s operational guidelines and benefit package.
The initiative comes as Governor Dada Lawal has declared a state of emergency in the state’s health sector, prioritizing a “rescue mission” to improve healthcare outcomes.
Dr. Saleh emphasized the importance of collaboration and coordination between ZAMCHEMA and the hospital to achieve this goal.
He stressed the need for a strong partnership to ensure that residents receive quality healthcare services.
In a remark, the Hospital Managing Director Dr. Gambo Luman expressed his commitment to the partnership and assured that the hospital will work diligently to implement ZAMCHEMA’s guidelines.
He stated that the hospital is aligned with Governor Lawal’s development agenda and is dedicated to improving health indices across the state.
This move by the Zamfara State government signals a proactive approach to addressing the healthcare challenges facing the region.
