Zamfara state high Court two has granted the application filed by the former Emir of Maru Alhaji Abubakar Cika, seeking for the substitution of the Assistant Director of the State’s Security Service to the Director State Security Service.

The Presiding Judge Justice Bello Shinkafi who ruled in favour of the former Emir said, the motion filed by the former Emir requesting for amendment in respect of the fifth respondent has been granted by the court.

He therefore adjourned the case to January 20, 2021 for adoption.

Counsel to the Emir, Barister Sam Emeka Anosuke said ” We have already filled a motion for amendment because in the earlier case we had the Assistant Director representing the state security services instead of the Director”.

So we now filed a motion for amendment in respect of that name for substituting the fifth respondent instead of Assistant Director.

“The the application has today been granted by the court. We are only waiting for its adoption in January 20 as stated by the Honourable court”.

Recall that, the former Emir has taken the inspector General of Police and five others to court for allegedly infringing his fundamental human rights and unlawful detention at Government House for eleven months.
