A retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Muhammad Tambari Yabo is dead.
Aged 64, Yabo died yesterday at the Usman Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto after a brief illness.

His demise was announced by a family member, Malam Faruku Yabo.

He was survived by two wives, 14 children, and many grandchildren.

He was buried in his hometown Yabo after a funeral prayer led by the Chief Imam of Yabo, Sheikh Liman Faruk.

Those who attended the prayer included the Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi, former Governors of Sokoto state, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, and Yahaya Abdulkarim, respectively as well as the Chief of Staff to Governor Aminu Tambuwal, Alhaji Muktar Magori.

Speaking after the burial, Dingyadi described the deceased as veryreligious, disciplined and disciplined Officer who had served hm the country to the best of his ability.

Dingyadi described his death as a great loss not only to his family, political associates but the entire country in general.

The Minister prayed Allah to grant the deceased with the most exalted Paradise and give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
