ZAMFARA POLICE COMMAND ESTABLISHES NEW OUTPOSTS IN KANOMA, JANBAKO

Zamfara state Police command has established two new out posts in Kanoma town of Maru local government and Janbako town in Maradun local government.

The establishment of the two outposts was as a result of the recent condolence visit of Governor Bello Matawalle to the two communities affected by banditry activities last week.

Recalled that, the Governor has during the visit assured that he would return all IDPs back to their respective communities as well as to deploy adequate security operatives to  safeguard their safety and security.


In a press release, the spokesperson of the police command SP Mohammed Shehu said, the state police commissioner has already opened the two new outposts and also deployed security personnel to take care of them.

“Today, being Sunday 24th January, 2021, the Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Police Command CP Abutu Yaro fdc, in his prompt response has established two Police Outposts in Kanoma and Janbako districts”.

“The commissioner also posted adequate number of Joint conventional Police operatives  and indiginous members of Special Constabulary to take over the security architecture and restore public safety and security of the affected areas”. 


The Commissioner of Police further created additional Pin down point at AMUMO Village along Colony  – Faru Road . The Pin down Point was adequately  equipped with joint security operatives that includes, Police Mobile Personnel from 78 PMF Maradun, Police Operatives attached to Federal Highway Patrol and Civil Defence Operatives. 


The Initiative is in line with the Police, other security agencies in Collaboration with the Zamfara State government’s Commitment to rid all nooks and crannies of the state of all forms of criminal activities, and further restore public confidence and trust on the capability of the government and the security agencies to protect their lives and properties. 


Prior to their deployment, the Commissioner of Police has briefed  the security personnel where he charged them to be more alive to their mandate by working in unity and in collaboration with the host Communities.

He also warned them to be conscious of their personal safety and the safety of the people they are serving. The CP however warned them against extortion as government is working towards  their welfare.
