Zamfara State Police Command under the leadership of CP Abutu Yaro, in collaboration with the State Peace and reconciliation Committee have secured the unconditional release of ten Kidnapped victims abducted by kidnappers.
In a statement which was made available to newsmen in this night, the spokesperson of the police command SP Mohammed Shehu said the bandits stormed Kaya village of Maradun LGA today where they kidnapped the ten persons.
The victims, according to Shehu included seven women and three men who were abducted and taken to Sububu forest by their abductors but later released intardem with the ongoing peace process initiated by Governor Matawalle.
He said, “All the rescued kidnapped victims have been debriefed by the Police and later handed them over to the sole Administrator of Maradun local government who will reunite them with their families”.
“Investigation regarding the abduction of the victims has commenced and the outcome will be made public”. Concluded Shehu
