About 500 orphans have benefited from the Ramadan and Sallah welfare package distributed by Magajin Sabon Gari Gusau, Alhaji Halliru Magaji.
The distribution exercise was held in his palace in Sabon Gari Gusau Zamfara state.
Speaking during the exercise, Alhaji Halliru said the aim of the exercise was to assist the orphans to celebrate their Ramadan fast and Sallah celebration with ease adding that each orphan would get clothing materials and N1000.
He also explained that, some of the less privileged were given rice, Millet, supaghetti and macaroni, while others got assistance of N5000 each to enable them conduct their businesses.
Alhaji Halliru Magaji, commended some wealthy individuals and businessmen who gave out their Zakkat and endowment which were also distributed to the less privileged as Ramadan and Sallah package.
In his speech the representative of Chief imam of sheak Mahmud Gummi, Malan Jamilu Dan Magori, expressed happiness over the distribution and prayed Allah to reward him abundantly, calling on wealthy individuals to emulate Magajin Sabon Gari.
Also speaking, the Secretary, Zakkat Sabon Gari, Malan Suleiman Madibbo, commanded Alhaji Halliru for his kind gesture, calling on distribution committee to justify the confidence reposed in them.
