Zamfara CP presents N4.2m cheques to families of seven slain policemen on behalf of IGP

Zamfara state Commissioner of Police, CP Ayuba N. Elkanah has presented cheques of N4.2million to the next one kins of the seven slain policemen on behalf of the Inspector General of Police.

The presentation of the cheques, acccording to Elkana was part of the IGP’s family insurance welfare scheme being given to the families of deceased Police officers who died in active service.

The Commissioner of Police while presenting the cheques, appreciated the  Inspector General of Police for the gesture and described it as timely. 

Elkana said the assistance would go along way in alleviating the suffering being faced by the families of the  deceased Police officers.

The CP assuresd the IGP that, Officers and men of the command would continue to put in their best to ensure peace, security and safety of Zamfara State and Nigeria as a whole.

He  charged the beneficiaries to utilize the money judiciously, noting that, in the last five  months, the command had received similar  cheques from the Inspector General of Police for seven times and presented same to the beneficiaries. 

“This will serve as morale booster to the serving members of the force to continue to discharge theit duty effectively”. Said CP Elkana.

One of the benefiting families,  Gloria Hussaini, who spoke on behalf of other beneficiaries thanked  the Inspector General of Police for the gesture and promised to use the money judiciously.
