Zamfara state House of Assembly has extended the tenure of the local government sole Administrators by another six months.
In a statement, the spokesperson of the house, Mustafa Jafaru kaura said, “Members of the House have unanimously agreed to extend the tenure of the 14 local government sole administrators for a period of six months effective from Tuesday 19th April 2022”.
The statement added that, the extension of the tenure followed an executive request read before the House by the Speaker Rt Hon Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya.
“This pave way for the House leader, Honourable Faruk Musa Dosara to move the motion for the debate for extension of the tenure of fourteen (14) local government sole Administrators of the state”.
Speaker Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya also read another executive communication letter requesting the Hon House to screen and confirm two special Advisers nominees to work in the present Administration of Governor Bello Muhammad MON (Matawallen Maradun).
They are Hon Kabiru Sahabi Liman from Kaura-Namoda local government Area and Aliyu Muhammad (Engr ) from Gummi local government Area.
Also at yesterday’s plenary the House considered a bill for a law to provide for the Establishment and management of Zamfara State media corporation and for other matters connected therein 2022 which aslo an executive bill and was allowed to scaled firts Reading.
The House in session also considered a private member bill of Hon Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma representing Maru North which is a bill for a law to provide for the Establishment of the Zamfara state Transport Authority and for other matters.
The bill scaled first Reading though with little controversy from the chairman House committee on works and Transport Hon Yusuf Muhammad Anka alledging that Hon Yusuf Kanoma was trying to hijack the work and scope of his Committee .
