Stakeholders urged to step in to resolve ASU strike

Stakeholders in education sector have been advised to fear Allah in resolving the lingering strike action between Federal government and ASSU.

An Islamic cleric sheikh Yusuf Liman Habibi gave the advice while speaking with newsmen in Zaria.

Sheikh Yusuf Liman Habibi explained that the stakeholders should desist from politicizing the issue of education in the country.

The cleric said, “education is the back bone of development of any Nation”.

He called on ASSU and the Federal government to amicably resolve their difference for the development of education across the country.

He pointed out that contrary to this period, acquiring education in Nigeria was only for the well to do children while the children of the masses cannot afford to.

He called on Kaduna state government to stop disengaging and dismissing civil servants and teachers without paying them their benefits.

Meanwhile, it has been observed that primary schools across Kaduna state are now under a terrible conditions following the dismissal of all security and night watch men by the present administration.

Investigation revealed that some structures in Zaria, Sabon Gari, Soba in Makarfi local government area among others have been vandalized by hoodlums following the dismissal of night watchmen in the schools.
