The Zamfara State Coordinator, APC Women Professionals Council in support of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Hajiya Dr Barira Ibrahim Bagobiri has promised to train about Five Thousand (5000) women across the 14 Local government areas of the state.
Addressing Journalists in Gusau shortly after she returned from Abuja for their inauguration, Dr. Barira said, she would train the 5000 women across the state as part of her effort to ensure victory for Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor Bello Mattawalle in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
Acccording to her, those to benefit from the program would undergo training in different skills for them to become self reliant.
“We will train them through skills acquisitions to learn tailoring, soap making, perfume and cosmetic work as well as rearing of animals and fish farming”.
Dr. Barira further explained that, some of the women would be given cash assistance so that they could operate businesses of their choice.
She maintained that she would campaign vigorously for both Governor Matawalle and Bola Tinubu, urging all the people of the state, particularly the womenfolk to support the crusade.
Dr. Barira stressed that she would very soon go round the state for awareness campaign for women on voter education.
The campaign acccording to her is aimed at ensuring that all eligible women voters acquired their permanent voters cards.
She commended Governor Bello Mattawalle for the efforts he has been making to bring lasting peace to the state, calling on the people of the state to support the Governor to get rid of banditry activities.
