The Zamfara state Deputy Governorship candidate under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Malam Mani Malam Mummuni has urged the people of the state to disregard the rumor making the rounds that, the PDP flag bearer Dauda Lawan Dare is detecting to APC.
Addressing Journalists in Gusau on Sunday, Mani said that there was no iota of truth in that purported story.
He stressed that, “Dauda Lawan Dare has never thought of detecting to APC”.
He maitained that, it was a complete lie being circulated by some mischief makers who were out to mislead the general public.
“Dauda has no plan what so ever of living the PDP and will contest and win the governorship election under the platform of the PDP in 2023”.
“Those who are spreading the rumors of Dauda’s defection to APC are those who are not comfortable with this growing popularly”. Said Mummuni.
He stressed that, Dauda was still in the race and would pursue the issue until he finally clinched power by the grace of God.
Mani expressed optimism that, the PDP would win Zamfara state considering the large number of people detecting to PDP from APC and other parties on daily basis.
He called on the people of the state to support the candidature of Lawan Dare in order to save the state from total disintegration as a result of persistent insecurity challenges.
