Zamfara SUBEB chairman hails UNICEF for education intervention, assures continued partnership

The Executive Chairman, Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu Danmadamin Maradun has commended the UNICEF for its intervention in the education sector.

Danmadamin Maradun made the commendation while receiving journalists in his office who were on Media tour to primary and junior secondary schools in the state.

He maitained that, the intervention has greatly assisted in the upliftment of both primary and junior secondary school education in the state considering the numerous achievements recorded so far.

The chairman expressed appreciation for the extension of the UNICEF programs in the state which according to him were about to wind up if not for the good relationship between the present administration of Governor Bello Mattawalle and the UNICEF.

“I want to commend the UNICEF for extending its activities in Zamfara state which were almost coming to an end but because of the good relationship between the state government and the UNICEF, the  programs have continued”.

“We are happy with this development and we will continue to partner with the UNICEF for the progress of our state”.

“We have already paid our counterpart funds of N93 million to the UNICEF programs and we are always ready to work hard for the success of all the programs”.

The Chairman also commended the Journalists in the Media team for the adequate coverage of the board’s activities, urging them to maintain the tempo.

In his response, the Media team leader, Malam Ishaka Zaki Tambuwal of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) thanked the chairman for the support and encouragement he has been giving to the working journalists in the state.

Tambuwal informed the chairman that, as partners in progress, the Journalists in the Media team would work tireless to publicise the activities of both the state’s Universal Basic Education board and the UNICEF.

“I want to use this opportunity to inform the Honourable chairman that we are voluntarily rendering our services for the overall developmnet the state.

“We will do our best to effectively cover the activities of the board in partnership with the UNICEF”.
