The Zamfara State All Progressives Congress Executive Committee has pledged to ensure a hitch-free campaign ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
This was contained in a statement by the Publicity secretary of the party, Alhaji Yusuf Idris and made available to Analyzer news.
Idris said it was part of decisions reached at the end of today’s State Executive Committee meeting chaired by the state Deputy chairman, Alhaji Hassan Marafa Damri at the party Headquarters, Gusau
The meeting according to Idris noted with utmost joy, the level of support and acceptance the party is getting at the grassroots and other levels and assured that the campaigns will be a huge success throughout the state.
He said, “The party will focus on issue-based campaigns that will bring more unity and development in the state in order to have a more united and secured Zamfara State”.
“It promised to fight any act of political thuggery that will cause breach of the peace in the state before, during and after the process”.
“The party appreciated the level of peace being enjoyed now in the state following the efforts of Governor Matawalle and that of president Muhammadu Buhari in tackling insecurity leading to the gradual return of peace”.
“The party also commended the local government chairmen for instituting a wider consultation and mobilisation at the grassroots which in turn decimated all opposition in the state”.
“It will also maintain its dominance in Zamfara state and will continue to support governor Bello Mohammed’s policies and programmes”.
