Court upholds Zubairu’s election for Maru/Bungudu Fed constituency

The Federal High Court in Gusau Zamfara state capital has upheld the election of Abdulmalik Zubairu as APC candidate for Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency in Zamfara state for the 2023 election.

The election of Zubairu was challenged before the court by one Abdurrahman Tumbido for alleged irregularities, praying for the cancellation of the election.

Delivering the judgement on Thursday, the Presiding Judge of the court, Justice Aminu Bappa dismissed by case for lack of merit.

Justice Bappa said the court has rejected all the evidences tendered by the plaintiff on the ground that they were inadmissible before the court, as such the case has been dismissed.

Addressing Journalists immediately after the court’s session, Counsel to 4th, 5th and 6th dependants, Barrister Lawal Ahmed Nahuce said, the  court has rejected all evidences tendered by the plaintiff.

According to him the evidences were rejected on the ground that they were inadmissible.

“He said, “The evidences given by the plaintiff were inadmissible, as such the case was dismissed by the court “.

Nahuce maintained that, with the court’s verdict, Abdulmalik Zubairu is now the APC candidate for Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency for the 2023 general elections.
